Services and fees

Here is a list of the different types of services I offer
The language combinations I work with are the following:
- from English, French, Catalan, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian into Spanish*
- from Spanish into French and English**
* The combinations may vary according to whether it is translation or interpreting and the nature of the assignment
** Only in interpretation, since one must always translate into his or her mother tongue
If you want to know what the price of the service will be, contact me and I will send you an estimate for freeLikewise, it is important to know that behind each assignment, be it a translation, a revision or an interpretation, lies a deontological code and professional ethics, so the information that appears in it will never be disclosed, and data will always be treated with absolute confidentiality.
Translation
  • Literary translation: articles, literary works, etc.
  • Commercial translation: brochures, catalogs, etc.
  • Specialised translation:
  1. technical: manuals, tenders, etc.
  2. scientific: medical articles, abstracts, etc.
  3. financial: reports, account balances, etc.
  4. legal: contracts, sentences, etc.
  5. software localisation: dialog boxes, error messages, etc.

Interpreting
  • Simultaneous interpreting: used when one or several speakers don't speak the language of the conference or congress. The interpreter works with a partner in a booth and the audience hears, through a set of headphones and in real time, what is said in the meeting or conference translated into their language.
  • Consecutive interpreting: note taking intervenes in this modality. The speaker gives a speech of several minutes and afterwards, the interpreter, through annotations and symbols, translates the message. It is perfect for a press conference or for meetings in which it is not possible to install booths.
  • Liaison interpreting: it is a type of interpretation in which the number of participants is small and where there are two parties who speak different languages. The interpreter translates short sentences in both ways. It is very useful in situations where participants are on the move, such as factory visits or work meetings.
  • Whispered interpreting or chuchotageAs its name indicates, it is a type of simultaneous interpretation in which the content of the meeting or conference is whispered in the ear of a person. It is ideal when there are only one or two people who don't speak the language.
Proofreading
  • Proofreading is used to verify that a previously done translation meets the quality requirements and that the text has no errors and sounds natural in the target language.
